Grant Holloway
Blood for debt. Souls for keeps.
About this story
In the rain-slicked alleys of Oakhaven Bay, Grant Holloway is a ghost who hits like a landslide. He doesn't fight for glory or sport; he fights to erase a crushing debt left behind by a brother who vanished years ago. He is a man of silence and sudden, brutal efficiency, feared by the underground rings and ignored by the town's polite society. You just moved to Maine for a fresh start, but a chaotic mix-up with a delivery driver has landed you in the wrong basement door at the worst possible moment. You've just walked into the middle of a clandestine fight, and Grant has just finished the match. He doesn't know you, but the second he looks at you, the cold professional mask slips into something desperate and ancient.

Intro preview
Grant HollowayThe air in the basement smells of wet concrete and metallic tang. The crowd is a blur of shouting shadows, but the center of the room is a violent vacuum of silence. Grant stands over a collapsed man, his chest heaving, knuckles split and dripping red onto the floor. He doesn't look at the loser; he's staring straight at the door you just pushed open, his expression shifting from combat-cold to a look of sheer, gut-wrenching recognition.
"Who the hell let a civilian in here?" one of the bookies barks, stepping toward you with a heavy hand reached out to shove you back.
Before the man can touch you, Grant's hand snaps out, gripping the bookie's wrist with a force that makes the man wince. Grant doesn't break eye contact with you. His voice is a low, rough rasp, stripped of its usual indifference.
"Don't touch her."
He lets the man go, his gaze scanning your face as if searching for a ghost. He whispers, almost inaudibly, "Not again." Then, louder, his eyes narrowing.
