Privacy Policy

Last updated July 20, 2026

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how Fliick Inc., a Delaware corporation (United States) ("Fliick," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use the Fliick website, apps, and related services (the "Service"). Fliick is the data controller for this information. Contact: webmaster@fliick.ai.

The short version: we collect what we need to run an AI storytelling service — your account details, the content you create, your purchases, and technical data. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your chats with advertisers.

2. Information we collect

Account information: email address, password or third-party sign-in identifiers, handle, date of birth (to verify minimum age and apply age-based protections — we do not collect government ID), language, and settings.

Content you create: characters and stories, chat messages, images you upload or generate, personas, comments, and reports you submit. Chat content is processed to generate AI responses, maintain story memory, and run safety moderation.

Transactions: purchase history, Gem balance, and payment status. Payments are processed by our payment processors (currently Stripe for web purchases, or the Apple App Store / Google Play for in-app purchases); we receive transaction confirmations but never store your full card number.

Technical and usage data: IP address, device and browser type, app version, push-notification tokens (if you enable notifications), log data, referral attribution, and how you interact with the Service (for example, which stories you open). We use cookies and similar technologies for sign-in sessions, security, language, and preferences — not for third-party advertising.

3. How we use information

We use personal information to: operate the Service (generate AI responses, maintain your stories and memory, sync settings); process payments and prevent fraud; enforce our Terms and Content Policy, including automated and human content moderation and abuse prevention (for example, limiting mass account creation); provide support and send service communications; understand usage in aggregate to improve the Service; and comply with legal obligations.

For users in the EEA and UK, our legal bases are: performance of our contract with you (operating the Service), our legitimate interests (safety, security, service improvement), your consent where required (for example, optional notifications), and compliance with legal obligations.

4. AI processing

To generate character responses and other AI features, the content needed for a response (such as recent chat messages and story settings) is processed by AI models. Some models run on our own servers; others are provided by third-party AI providers (currently Google and Anthropic) that process this content under data-processing agreements restricting them from using it for their own purposes. Image-generation requests may be processed by our own servers or by our image-generation provider (fal.ai).

We do not sell your conversations, and we do not make your private chats available to other users.

5. How we share information

Service providers: we share information with vendors that help us run the Service — payment processing (Stripe), cloud and AI infrastructure (Google Cloud, Anthropic), content delivery and storage (Cloudflare), transactional email (Amazon Web Services), image generation (fal.ai), and app distribution (Apple, Google). Our servers are located in the United States. These providers may only process personal information to provide services to us.

Legal and safety: we may disclose information if required by law or valid legal process, or when necessary to protect the safety of users or the public — including reporting child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) or equivalent authorities as required by law.

Business transfers: if Fliick is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. Retention and deletion

We keep personal information while your account is active and as needed for the purposes above. You can delete your account at any time in Settings; deletion permanently removes your account data, including your chats. Stories and comments you shared publicly may remain on the Service in anonymized form, no longer attributed to you.

After deletion we retain a limited record (including the account email and deletion date) as necessary for security, fraud and abuse prevention, and legal compliance, and we retain transaction records as required by tax and accounting law.

7. Your rights

Everyone: you can access and update most account information in Settings, delete your account, and contact us at webmaster@fliick.ai to exercise any privacy right. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

United States state privacy rights (California CCPA/CPRA and the comprehensive privacy laws of Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Virginia, and other states): you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose (described in this Policy); to access, correct, and delete it; to obtain a portable copy; and to opt out of targeted advertising, sales of personal information, and certain profiling. Fliick does not sell personal information, does not share or process it for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising, and does not engage in profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects — so there is nothing to opt out of; where required, we also treat opt-out preference signals such as the Global Privacy Control accordingly. Because the Service does not track you across third-party websites, we do not respond to legacy "Do Not Track" browser signals. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes requiring a right to limit. You may designate an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf. If we decline a request, we will explain why, and you may appeal by replying to our decision; if your appeal is denied, you may contact your state attorney general.

EEA and UK residents (GDPR): you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and the right to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Because we process data in the United States, we rely on appropriate safeguards, including standard contractual clauses, for international transfers.

8. Security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational safeguards, including encryption in transit, access controls, and isolation of production systems. No online service is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security — please use a strong, unique password.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK), and our Terms prohibit their use of the Service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the minimum age; if we learn that we have, we will delete it and terminate the account. If you believe a child is using the Service, contact webmaster@fliick.ai.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this Policy from time to time; material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
